Sunberry (Solanum Burbankii) was bred in the early 1900s by Luther Burbank (1849-1926)

An interesting tomato relative. 3' plants yield dozens of clusters of dark, 1/4" berries, and each cluster holds 8-12 fruits.

The fruit is purplish-black when ripe and the size of peas. The flavor is akin to blueberries but less sweet. Cooked in pies and jams it is yummy!

Prolific bushy plants loaded with small, slightly sweet, berries.

50-75 days.

Start seeds 6-8 weeks before transplanting outside after the last frost.

Space plants 30" apart.
